Deb Donnell – Coach | Mentor | Author (we, us, our) is a New Zealand based brand. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993 (the Act) when dealing with personal information. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual (a natural person). We also comply with EU-GDPR in relation to data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union.
We may change this policy by uploading a revised policy on the website. The change will apply from the date that we upload the revised policy. Last updated 4 September 2020.
While we take reasonable steps to maintain secure Internet connections, if you provide us with personal information over the Internet, the provision of that information is at your own risk.
If you post your personal information on publicly accessible areas of the website (such as in comments fields), you acknowledge and agree that the information you post is publicly available.

We collect personal information about you from:

We usually do not allow comments on our website. However, if this feature is turned on, when visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, site tracking is turned on to assist our marketing automation software, ActiveCampaign.

Who we share your data with
The marketing and website is managed by Keswin Publishing Ltd and hosted on a virtual server which is secured with encrypted keys held only by Keswin Publishing Ltd. Keswin Publishing Ltd uses and keeps up-to-date the WordPress website platform, themes and plugins which meet EU-GDPR compliance, as well as Keswin Publishing’s own security and privacy standards.
Our ecommerce platform is through the WooCommerce plugin, with the payment processor being a PayPal API. All data is collected on the website, and transferred to our on premise email server which uses secure encryption and filtering.
Where you have opted into an email marketing service (such as a newsletter, industry updates, etc.) we use a third party marketing automation cloud services provider, ActiveCampaign, managed by Keswin Publishing Ltd. How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information provided in their user profile for 7 years, as required by New Zealand Tax Laws. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments and web contact form information may be checked through an automated spam detection and filtering service.

Subject to certain grounds for refusal set out in the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993, you have the right to access your readily retrievable personal information that we hold and to request a correction to your personal information. This website is managed and hosted by Keswin Publishing Ltd, and adheres to best practice security standards in order to protect your data.
What data breach procedures we have in place
In the unlikely event a data breach occurs, we will act immediately to secure and retrieve the data and advise affected parties, including you if your personal information is compromised in any way, within 72 hours of the breach.
What third parties we receive data from
We may, from time-to-time, post affiliate advertising, or use advertising and promotion on social media sites (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.). We may also, from time to time, receive data about you from third party referrers, including advertisers. Where active consent to pass on the data is not explicit, we will not store your data, and will request the referrer provides evidence of active consent.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We use a third party marketing automation cloud services provider, ActiveCampaign for newsletter subscriptions and automated sales funnels that may gather and aggregate user data. We will provide information in the appropriate place of the funnel for you to provide consent for your data to be used, or to opt-out of the process.
